UCAN FUN RUN
On Sun, Sep 19th 2010, 10:30 am
Join us in Royal Deeside on Sunday 19th Sep, at the Pannanich Wells Hotel to be precise, for the 4th UCAN FUN RUN.

We've made a few changes to the format this year, still keeping the main theme of the day the same, but you'll notice this year, due to the ecconomic situation, there will be NO MINIMUM sponsorship requirement.

Although we've opened ourselves up to only getting pennies in for sponsorship, we hope you'll continue to do your best for what is a very good cause.
In Scotland alone, 1000 men die each year from urological cancers.
And it aint just men, a lot of women are diagnosed with bladder and kidney cancer, so to encourage more ladies to join in the fun there's a new award this year for the BEST LADY RIDER, so come on girls, let's show the blokeshow to get round the course.
We're also gonna have a big big prize for the person who raises the most cash....so get started!
It's going to be fun fun fun all the way, with bacon rolls to munch in the morning, a 100 mile ride in some of the best countryside in Scotland, refreshments half way, awards and prizes at the end at Loch Kinord hotel, Dinnet, live music and entertainment.

New Registration form here. Now go and tap yer mates up for a few quid...

See you there!!

Transforming your riding by Tom Killeen
On Tue, Nov 16th 2010, 8:00 pm

A talk by Tom Kileen of i2i  www.i2imca.com which has been funded by Rod Leys of Hein Gericke for the GMC only will be held at Hein Gericke shop on Tuesday November the 16th at 8pm. Please email myself if you wish to attend as there are only a limited number of members that can be accommodated at this function. RSVP david@davemorris.f9.co.uk

Transforming your riding

How would you feel if I said that you could?

safely control a front wheel skid.

calmly induce and control a tank-slapper.

confidently deal with a bend that unexpectedly tightens up.

safely bring your bike to a halt in about half the distance you think you can.

be significantly more confident in the wet or on slippery roads.

cure panic-braking forever.

confidently do low speed turns or circles in the road - even two-up.

How would you feel if I said that your bike is infinitely more stable that you realise but that you are actually making it less stable than it was ever meant to be.

 You can transform your riding

The good news is that it is possible to understand the stories you have created or accepted, dispel the myths and release the vice-like grip they have on your riding. The result is a complete transformation in your riding – where the fears you have created simply disappear. More of the fun and freedom returns to biking and you become a significantly safer and smoother rider.

Rod has been on 4 of his coures and speaks very highly of what he has learned so please remember and email me if you wish to attend. If your name is not on the guest list then you may not be able to come to the evening. There are also special discounts being offered at this evenings talk.
